I dreamt I had dragged an antique phone booth into the middle of the desert and had some desert in it and wanted to use it as some kind of weird drinking water storage. I brought a hose and tried to fill it up with water and it just would not fill up, the water level finally rose and it was almost a quarter of the way full and the desert just absorbed it all and I saw the little cactus I had trapped inside the phone booth drown.
Of course, the best dreams have soundtracks, and since I’ve been listening to Florence + The Machine on repeat, this part of Drumming song was stuck in my head:
“I run to the river and dive straight in
I pray that the water will drown out the din
But as the water fills my mouth
It couldn’t wash the echoes out
But as the water fills my mouth
It couldn’t wash the echoes out”
Water is rebirth, evolution, cleansing. But I needed help figuring out the rest of it.
